Competiton/ FSMD Testing Judging System 

As an added benefit all participants will receive detailed, actionable performance feedback that includes helpful comments from the judges. Provided by FloristWare, it is the same system used at prestigious competitions like the Gateway to the Americas Cup, Mid-America Cup, Sylvia Cup and others. This feedback will help you grow as a designer and competitor and is just one more reason to enter the competition.

NEW for 2025

This Year, FSFA International will be hosting 3 Competitions: 1.) The FernTrust Cup, 2.) The Tablescape Competition, and 3.) The Sunshine Cup Competition. Each competition may be entered individually or by entering all three, you are entered in the FSFA International Designer of the Year. As Designer of the Year, you could win up to $2,000.00 CASH~!!!

2:30pm - Introduction and Rules, 3:00pm to 4:00pm Competition. Competition Time 1 hour 

Theme - "It's 5 O'clock Somewhere!"  

Design should give a laid-back feeling, evoking a carefree beach day!   

All fresh flowers, foliage's, hard goods, vessels/containers will be provided.   

You are permitted to bring with you, Table settings, this means plates, bowls, glassware and utensils. 

NO OTHER PROPS WILL BE PERMITTED.

Your design must be viewed all around, they will be featured as a centerpiece on the dining tables during our awards dinner.

Theme - "Margaritaville Vibe"   

You will be asked to create a HANDTIED FLORAL USING THE SPIRAL TECHNIQUE. (THIS IS NOT INTENDED TO BE A BRIDAL BOUQUET)

YOU MUST BRING WITH YOU A PRE-MADE ARMATURE using materials with a tropical beach vibe.  All fresh flowers and foliage's will be provided, the floral materials will be of tropical nature and in vibrant tropical colors. All fresh florals provided are to be inserted in the armature during the actual competition.

YOU MUST BRING A VESSEL/CONTAINER/VASE TO HOLD YOUR FLORAL DESIGN

4:15pm - Introduction and Rules, 4:30pm to 5:15pm Competition. Competition Time 45 Minutes

Floral knife, Wire Cutters, Ribbon Shears, Stem Cutters, Needle Nose Pliers, Stapler, Hole Punch

Battery Operated Power Tools such as a Drill and Battery Powered Glue Guns Will Be Permitted 

**NO Electric Power Tools, NO Electric Glue Pans, NO Electric Glue Guns** 

Any Tool you have to plug into a wall outlet will not be permitted~!!!

Friday, June 6, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 5:15 pm

(Be sure to have lunch prior to attending the competition) 

  Awards will be presented on Sunday, June 8, 2025
